Lady Mustang Soccer 2006
The Tradition Lives On!!
The Lady Mustangs of Creekview High School
continued to solidify their position as a dominant force in
Texas High School Soccer with a return trip to the State
Championship Tournament in 2006.
The 2006 Lady Mustangs were undefeated in
district play with a perfect record of 12-0-0. They dominated on
both ends of the field throughout the year in district play,
scoring 58 goals while giving up only 4.
During the playoffs, Creekview defeated
North Mesquite, Lake Highlands, Westlake, and Sachse, as they
made their way to Round Rock and the State Championship
Tournament.
Creekview defeated Lewisville Marcus in
the Semi-Final round to earn a trip to the State Championship
match for the second time in three years. The Mustangs
faced Katy Taylor in the match that took place at Round Rock ISD
Stadium. There there was no score at the half, but Taylor
took a 2 goal lead in the second half before Kendall Juett
scored for the Lady Mustangs with 8 minutes to go. Katy
was able to weather an impressive Lady Mustang barrage and hold
on for a 2-1 win.
Lady Mustang Soccer Tradition was
established at Creekview High School in 2004 when Creekview
captured the Texas 5A State Title. That tradition has
continued, and grew ever stronger during the 2006 season as the
Lady Mustangs marched their way through the District, Area, and
Regional playoffs on their way to their second State
Championship Tournament appearance in three years.
The success of the 2006 Mustangs will live
forever and we salute the Seniors who's commitment and
dedication have been outstanding.

These seniors will be missed for sure, but
they will always remain "Mustangs Forever"!!!
The future is bright for the Lady
Mustangs. Eight returning starters will take the pitch for Coach
Rivas in 2007, with many strong players ready to continue
the Creekview Soccer Tradition.
Thank You to the Lady Mustang Families, to
the Creekview High School Students, Faculty and Administrators,
to the Carrollton/Farmers Branch Independent School District,
and to the City Of Carrollton for all of the wonderful support
that you have shown for your Lady Mustangs during a wonderful
season!!!
And thanks most of all to the 2006 Lady
Mustangs of Creekview High School. You are incredible and
congratulations on an awesome year!!!
